TidySong helps clean up your library

Now that CES 2011 is over, there was one product that was released at this year's convention: TidySongs on a USB stick. Now, what exactly is TidySongs? TidySongs is a program that you can download that will add missing artwork, remove duplicate songs, fix misspelled words, and organize the genres. Until this past weekend, TidySongs was only available online via download, but now retailers will be able to sell this program in stores. Since 2006, users of TidySongs have fixed over a half a billion songs and with a study released just last week showing numbers of problems fixed, it seems that TidySongs is at the right place at the right time.

According to Cloudbrain LLC, “An analysis of iTunes libraries released last week by TidySongs showed that while the average number of songs in an iTunes library is 7,160, the average number of songs missing album artwork is 4,230, more than half of many people’s music libraries.” Cloudbrain, LLC is the company that owns TidySongs and their CEO Daniel Strickland said “We think there’s a great opportunity to help them accessorize the inside of their music players by helping them clean up and organize their iTunes libraries. And our new in-store music accessory version of TidySongs is a great way for retailers to add to their phone, music player, and computer accessory offerings.”

As a user of TidySongs, it would be worth the time and money to purchase this product. This examiner has spent hours trying to do what this program did in a matter of minutes with far less clicks of the mouse. Word to the wise though, use the one-by-one feature on the program because like most programs, this one isn't perfect and will make some mistakes. Luckily there was only a few mistakes that this program made and was easily fixed. If you would like to diagnoise your own library, click here. Overall, this examiner would give this program a 4 out of 5 stars.
