Arizona shooting update: Rep Gabrielle Gifford on Sarah Palin’s target list (videos, photos)

Sarah Palin is receiving criticism after it was learned that the Arizona congresswoman targeted in the Tuscon, Arizona shooting that took place on January 8, 2011 was on Sarah Palin’s target list.  Rep. Gabrielle Gifford was shot point blank in the head in what authorities are referring to as an attempted assassination.  Eighteen people were wounded and six have died.  A 22-year-old suspect, Jared Lee Loughner is in custody.  Is it possible that Jared Loughner was motivated by Sarah Palin’s target list?

As you can see in the photo above, Sarah Palin had listed Rep. Gabrielle Gifford on her target list.  Sarah Palin grew criticism when she first released the target list in Marc 2010 with some speculating it may prompt unbalanced individuals to act out.  Sarah Palin had tweeted with the target list, “Don’t retreat, instead Reload.”

Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona. On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice."

What do you think?  Do you think Sarah Palin’s target list incites people to violence?
