“Central City Kidnapper” still on the loose

It was September 19, 1999, when, police say, some unknown, mysterious man had kidnapped a 10-year-old girl as she was strolling down a street, located in Central City, Pennsylvania. The girl was accompanied by two of her friends at the time.

Then, when several hours since the incident had passed, the girl was found alive nearly 50 miles away, in Fayette County, Pennsylvania by police; however, her kidnapper was nowhere to be found.

When the girl was located, she was beaten and left shaken, though she luckily survived. She even declared that she recalled just about everything regarding the kidnapper, stating that the man was dressed in a unique t-shirt that contained a cartoon alien on it. She also told authorities that the man drove a teal-colored Geo Metro. She also recalled what her abductor had facially looked like, leading authorities to generate a composite drawing of the suspect, who has been described as a white male, with black or brown hair. He wore a green and tan ball cap, a green-colored t-shirt (containing an animated image of an alien), green silk-like shorts containing a “Boston Celtics” logo, and blue and black sporty shoes.

According to authorities, the kidnapper may be the same person who attempted to strike two more times previously in the vicinity, but failed. For instance, it was July 11, 1999, when an unknown man attempted to entice two young girls into his vehicle by either mentioning or exhibiting money. But luckily, the two girls ran for their lives unharmed. Then about two months later, on September 10, 1999, authorities have declared that the same person had brandished a pistol at a little girl and ordered her to enter his vehicle. She, too, was able to flee and was unharmed.

With existent DNA evidence, police have already linked the abductor to a 1988 kidnapping incident that took place in Hagerstown, Maryland. Hence, authorities are still attempting to find out whether they are able to link this man to any other kidnapping incidents.

He was last seen in Central City, though he could be in the Hagerstown, Maryland area. But he could be anywhere right now.

Let’s try to end this 11-year mystery once and for all.
