Zara's wedding plans full steam ahead as mother Princess Anne visits the church

Zara Phillips has pulled Princess Anne into her wedding planning, it was revealed yesterday, February 19. The Princess Royal has visited Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh and Miss Phillips has hired Peregrine Armstrong-Jones for additional assistance. Part of Princess Anne's clandestine visit to Scotland involved meeting the party planner to discuss details.

The wedding is expected to take place on July 30, though there are still no official announcements.

Guest list issues for Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall

Miss Phillips and Mike Tindall have reportedly met some resistance over their guest list: Zara Phillips invited her godfather, Andrew Parker Bowles, who is the Duchess of Cornwall's ex-husband. He also dated Princess Anne in the 1970s. Completely unsubstantiated reports last year accused the latter couple of having rekindled their romance.

A source is saying that the invitation makes things a little awkward for Captain Mark Phillips, Zara's father and Princess Anne's ex husband, and Admiral Tim Laurence, Princess Anne's second husband.

Divorced royals accustomed to working things out, will do so for Zara and Mike

Since it's only natural that the bride would want her godfather to be around and, since all involved parties have remained civil, it's all quite likely to work out, however.

There certainly won't be any trouble with the Duchess of Cornwall: the two have remained friends since their divorce. Andrew Parker Bowles remarried, but lost his wife last year.

Zara Phillips and rugby star Mike Tindall announced their engagement last December. They have been keeping the planning more or less under wraps.
