Starting tonight, Portland's Ground Kontrol Arcade will be host to 8-BIT CALAVERA, an art show set up by The Autumn Society. The show will feature 40 Day of the Dead inspired art that used NES cartridges as their canvas. Using all sorts of techniques and materials, the art is both haunting and beautiful.
Check out the slideshow to the side for the artists behind these amazing pieces. The cartridges will also form together to form one giant skull installation. Here is the address to Ground Kontrol, which is home to some classic arcade machines and Rock Band parties.
