Danny Elfman could possibly score 'The Hunger Games' movie

Though current reports stated that T. Bone Burnett had written a tune for Jennifer Lawrence to sing in The Hunger Games film, it seems he may not neccesarily be the man composing the whole score for the movie.

In truth, it sounds like Danny Elfman could be in talks for the venture.

At a recent event celebrating his years of collaboration with director Tim Burton, Elfman mentioned projects he had on the horizon.

"The Hunger Games popped up, which seemed like really interesting thing," Elfman mentioned. "Different -- and different catches my consideration in a way that’s like, 'Oh, I can’t ever go up a chance to do something different.' So that deal’s not even closed, it could not even happen, but we’re nicely along with that."

Elfman has a long and varied resume for his music work -- from "The Simpsons" theme song, to various Tim Burton films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas to Alice in Wonderland, and different movies such as Good Will Hunting, Men in Black, Terminator: Salvation, Spider-Man 2, and Chicago.
