"Survivor" villain number one Russell Hantz may have made the CBS show's fans the happiest they have ever been Wednesday night when he was kicked off "Redemption Island" and promised never to return to the "Survivor" franchise again.
The 38-year-old Texan sealed his fate by losing a round of dominoes in a duel with blond islander Matt in front of the duo's former teammates – Ometepe's Kristina and Phillip, and Zapatera's Ralph and Sarita – all of whom openly rooted for the 22-year-old premed student.
"This is my last time playing this game. That's it," Russell said upon losing. "I have nothing else to prove to myself or to my family. Matt, I give him props for beating me and I hope he goes all the way."
It was Russell's third time on the CBS show in the past three years: He was second runnerup on "Heroes and Villains" last year and runnerup on 2009's "Samoa" season.
But he didn't leave before crying up a storm and slamming his tribe for throwing a challenge to get rid of him. Ralph got so angry that he virtually admitted he had an idol, causing Russell to up the ante by outing the Zapatera tribe to Ometepe's representatives, revealing that Mike and Steve are a team and that Sarita is in charge.
"I had to stay in this game somehow," Russell told the show's host.
Motioning to Ometepe's duo, he added, "Through these two I can stay in this game."
Speaking of villains, Rob tricked his team into enjoying a beach day while he hatched a plan to find the idol. After pretending to suffer from constipation, he managed to find the immunity idol hiding up a tree back at camp.
Rob's deception made it seem laughable that he later would join forces with Grant to get rid of Phillip after deciding the ex-special agent could not be trusted seeing as he withheld Russell's bombshell about the Zapatera alliances.
But even though the entire Ometepe tribe was sick of Phillip's granny panties, Rob ultimately decided they should vote off Kristina because she became a little too interested in the idol he was hiding.
In the end, Kristina was banished to Russell's last stamping ground, losing to Phillip by only one vote.
