Casey Anthony hearing: George continues testimony; brother Lee testifies (video)
Orlando, Fla. - Thursday was day two in the most recent Casey Anthony hearing, as her father George Anthony continued to testify and her attorneys fought to keep evidence out of her murder trial on her behalf.
Casey is charged with the first-degree murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, in the summer of 2008.
Thursday’s hearing began a few minutes late and Casey appeared to be wearing the same shirt she wore to Wednesday’s hearing, according to WESH.

The first witness to take the stand was Sgt. Reginald Hosey, who was questioned about the July 2008 night Casey was arrested after her mother, Cindy Anthony, called 911 and reported Caylee missing.

As he did on the first day of the hearing, George Anthony continued his testimony regarding the evening that Casey was detained, saying he begged investigators to let him speak to her alone.
“If I could just have an hour with my daughter, just her and I,” said George.

Later on in the afternoon, Casey’s brother, Lee Anthony, took the stand and testified he was in constant contact with authorities shortly after his niece was reported missing.
Lee was also confronted by Casey’s attorneys Jose Baez, who played a jailhouse video showing in which Lee told his sister to send letters directly to him without notifying her legal counsel and law enforcement. He promised he would keep her correspondence private, but later shared the letters with others.
Baez asked Lee if he lied to Casey, to which he replied, “Maybe.”
WESH notes that at that moment, Casey appeared to sigh and put her hand in the air.
