American Idol: Adam Lambert performs "Aftermath"

American Idol Season 8 favorite, Adam Lambert, graced the Idol stage once again for yet another brilliant performance.

While a contestant on Idol, Lambert never disappointed the crowd and was actually never in the dreaded bottom three. However, he wasn't given the title and we don't even remember what happened to the guy who did win.

Fast forward two years, he's selling albums, selling out numerous concerts and is highly successful. Lambert performed "Aftermath," a track on his album, For Your Entertainment. He performed the acoustic version, just for Idol, and did it flawlessly.

Other surprises on the show tonight, Diddy Dirty Money performed their hit song, "Coming Home." Interestingly enough, Diddy and judge Jennifer Lopez were quite the hot item years ago. Wonder if it brought back memories for our beloved JLo.

Host Ryan Seacrest was his cruel self when announcing the bottom three. Which another surprise, took up a mere 15 minutes of the one hour results show. Half of the 13 contestants weren't even brought down to center stage to learn their fate. Instead, after the bottom three was announced, Seacrest told everyone else they were safe. It seemed to take a moment for it to sink in for everyone.

The bottom three included Karen Rodriguez, Ashton Jones and Haley Reinhart. Hope you didn't get too attached to Ashton. The judges didn't use their "save" and she was sent home.
