Justin Bieber among young celebrities honored for charity work Sunday (video)

On Sunday, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber and other young stars were honored for something other than their talents. Instead, Variety’s fourth annual “Power of Youth” event paid tribute to Bieber and others who have been involved in charitable work.

RadarOnline report that the 16-year-old singer was honored for his work on behalf of “Pencils of Promise,” a group that assists underprivileged children internationally.

“We built about 15 schools and more to come,” said Bieber. “I just feel it’s great that youths like me are being able to help other youths.”

Also present was Charlie McDermott from ABC’s hit comedy ‘The Middle,’ and Molly Quinn from ABC’s ‘Castle.’
