Dead Sea Scrolls almost ready to be Googled (Discovering Dead Sea Scrolls Video)

JERUSALEM – Experts have complained for years that access to the Dead Sea Scrolls has been too limited.

That is about to change as the tightly restricted archaeological treasure will be able to get Googled within months.

The images will feature sections that have been made more legible thanks to high-tech infrared technology.

The ancient scroll is 4 yards long and is considered to be a 2,000 year-old collection of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek documents that shed light on Judaism during biblical times and the origins of Christianity.

The Associated Press reported that once the images are up, anyone will be able to peruse exact copies of the original scrolls as well as an English translation of the text on their computer — for free.
