Chandra Levy trial: Jury selection continues in case of murdered intern

Tuesday, the jury selection process continued in the murder trial of Ingmar Guandique for the killing of Washington DC intern Chandra Levy nine years ago.

Attorneys spent the day reviewing jury questionnaires that had been handed out to 112 potential jurors. Eventually, the prosecution and the defense will narrow the number of jurors down to 16 -- 12 to sit on the jury and four alternatives.

Wednesday, both sides will begin asking questions of each prospective juror based on the questionnaires to eliminate those who may be biased or have already formed conclusions about the case.

Chandra, 24, went missing in May 2001, and her remains were found a year later in a remote area of Rock Creek Park. Guandique, 29, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was charged with her murder in 2009.
